Rapid e-Learning is most often defined as online learning that can be created in a matter of weeks without the need to know Flash or HTML programming.
We see Rapid e-Learning or REL as a quick and cost-effective way to transfer knowledge from those who have it (Subject Matter Experts) to those who don’t (Learners).
REL at any number of places in the learning process. Because it can be created quickly and relatively inexpensively, REL projects are often the result of a specific business need that needs to be addressed in real time.
Examples where REL could be used effectively include:

New product introductions

Change management

Software implementations

Compliance training

Reinforcement of skills developed in the classroom
The “Rapid” in Rapid e-Learning can and should refer to each of the design, development and deployment phases of a REL project. To move quickly through these phases and to facilitate collaboration among project team members, a number of Rapid e-Learning tools can be found in the marketplace today.
